Apart from our standard build generator models (FAW, PERKINS, SDEC, BAUDOUIN), we manufacture CUSTOM GENERATORS at our factory in Hartbeesfontein, North West, thus enabling us to build according to client specifications.
Our field of expertise includes:
- Standard SINGLE SET generator units (Single phase and Three phase)
- SYNCHRONIZED sets of two and more generators, best suited where high start-up Amps are required and after start-up requires less Amp loads.

SPECIALIZED SERVICES
SEAMLESS TRANSFER
A Seamless Transfer System allows Loads to connect to alternative power source (i.e. generator) in Parallel before a break in power. No-Break Return allows switching back to Mains without interruption. This feature helps you manage load shedding, reducing downtime and saving you money
BENEFITS OF SEAMLESS TRANSFER
- Power can be shifted via DSE application without interruption from Utility to generator before load shedding commences and vice versa.
- Restarting of productions facilities, downtime, etc. is now minimized with scheduled load shedding
- Motor starting and Transformer inrush currents are eliminated during closed transition transfers
- Voltage Sags and Surges/Spikes are greatly reduced when load is transferred from Grid to the generator before Load Shedding occur, reducing premature equipment failures.
PEAK SHAVING
A Peak Shaving System allows for the generation of additional power when existing infrastructure limitations are met, or when Maximum Demand Restrictions would be exceeded resulting in penalties.
MERITS OF PEAK SHAVING
- Demand penalties can now be limited or reduced by the DSE 'Peak Shaving' feature.
- During peak demand where the customers' load exceeds what is available from the Utility supplier (Notified Demand) the DSE 'Peak Lopping/Shaving' feature will 'top-up' the additional kW required. Enabling you to grow your business without energy restrictions.
- Could still function as a Backup Generator during Mains failures.
- Proportional usage ensures the minimal generator generation capacity limiting fuel usage to an absolute minimum.
GENERATOR / PV INTEGRATION KIT
Nuvo GENERATOR/PV INTEGRATION KITS is designed for remote MONITORING and INTEGRATION CONTROL. It is a flexible data logging and control platform, used in a variety of applications, for example Solar Energy Plants, Grid-Tie inverter performance, System functionality, etc.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- MONITORING: System determine and allows for switching between solar and generator - or combination thereof - depending on load requirements.
- REDUCE FUEL COSTS: Save up to 80% on your fuel bill during day time outages.
- LOWERING GENERATOR MAINTENANCE: Engine wear and tear is significantly lower when generator is not required to run at full load.
- QUICK R.O.I.: With an estimate of 100hrs loadshedding (if Utility is stable) per year of which 60% is during day time, as well as the high price of fuel the Wattmon system pays for itself after a short while.
- REDUCE CO2 FOOTPRINT: Using less fuel reduces your carbon footprint. The will become more crucial in future as environmental laws are becoming ever more stringent.
POWER FACTOR CORRECTION (PFC)
WHAT IS PF:
- POWER FACTOR is simply explained as the ration of 'actual' power (active) being used in a circuit, expressed in kilowatts (kW) to the power which is 'apparently' being drawn from Mains, expressed in kilo-volt-amps (kVA)
ADVANTANGES OF USING A PFC SYSTEM:
- REDUCED kVA CHARGES: Actual kVA used is now charged as opposed to 'apparent' kVA, meaning you pay only for what you actually use.
- IMPROVE EFFICIENCY: Improved network voltage reduces energy loss, extending equipment life and lower costs. Improved starting torque of motors.
- REDUCE RISK: Reduces overloading of cables, transformers, switchgear, premature equipment failures, etc.
- SAVES FUEL: Reduces fuel requirements to generate power during outages due to lower power losses.
THERMAL SCANNING
Thermal scanning allows for non-invasive inspection of electrical equipment to
- detect overheating components caused by loose connections,
- overloads, or
- imbalanced loads.
Preventative action:
Early detection through thermal scanning helps prevent potential equipment failures, fires, and downtime, thereby improving overall reliability and safety of electrical systems. It also supports predictive maintenance strategies by identifying issues before they escalate, optimizing maintenance schedules, and reducing operational disruptions.
Benefit:
By using the correct equipment paired with the right knowledge, thermal scanning can save you a lot of time and money as opposed to production down time or expensive equipment/machinery replacement.
It is imperative to obtain a complete report for each inspected DB to initiate corrective measures.

HARMONIC FILTERS
Harmonic Distortion is a major problem that needs to be addressed when identified.
Harmonic Distortion’s definition is when there is a distortion in the current or voltage waveform that causes it to change from its normal characteristics or shape. One of the main sources of this distortion at the generation level is the usage of power electronic devices (PEDs). PEDs are semiconductor devices that control and convert electrical energy.
The consequences of not rectifying harmonic distortions include:
